Dave Holly was born in Detroit Michigan on November 9, 1946. He was an exceptional student, being raised from 3rd grade to 4th mid-year. Dave spent 3 years in the Seminary. He finished high school at age 16, and went on to graduate with a Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. Dave did a brief stint as a substitute teacher in mathematics. In his career, he was a software programmer, from punch-card mainframes to PC-based client-server systems, with companies such as Ford Credit, American Express, Valley National Bank AZ/Bank One. He retired from the State of Arizona Department of Mental Health. While Dave rose through the ranks of management, he returned to his love of programming toward the end of his career. Dave was an athlete, performing at a high level in many sports: sprinting, swimming, hockey, baseball and tennis; as well as games of coordination and skill such as Ping Pong, Foosball, Air Hockey and others. He also loved to go fishing. Dave left this world on June 30, 2023. He leaves behind a wife: Alta Holly; 3 children: Scott Holly, Jeff Holly and Sean Holly; 4 grandchildren: Adam Holly, Jacob Melton, Nathan Holly and James Holly; 1 great grandchild: Eden Holly; a brother: Paul Holly; a sister: Janice Menninger; 3 nieces: Jenni McNeill, April Stevens, Angela Ball; and one nephew: Jeremy Menninger.
