Darris Steele passed into the hands of his Lord and Savior Jesus on December 28, 2024, at the age of 101. Darris was born to Carl and Lola Steele on June 12, 1923, in a farm house near Haskins, Iowa. Darris was a WWII veteran serving in the Navy in the Pacific theater. He married Phyllis Allen in 1944 and they moved to Phoenix in 1953. He worked for what is now Honeywell in the Engines Division. He retired in 1986 and moved to Sun City in 1996. After 65 years of marriage Phyllis passed in March, 2009. Darris is survived by his three children, Mark (Ruth), Ann (Howard) and Craig (Janet), 7 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Services will be held on January 10th at 1:30PM, at Sunland Mortuary, 15826 N. Del Webb Blvd, Sun City. In Memory donations may be sent to Bellevue Heights Church, 9440 W.
