Christine Peterson (nee) Purpura, 96, passed away on March 20, 2017. She was born November 3, 1920 in Chicago, IL. Christine was a resident of Sun City for 37 years after having moved from Chicago. Her passion in life included square dancing, bowling, and volunteering at St.Clement of Rome Catholic Church of Sun City. Christine’s daughter, Diane Slou, preceded her in death.
She is survived by her husband of 75 years, John Peterson and son-in-law, Jerry Slou. She was a loving grandmother of Kevin and Kathy Slou, Michael and Katie Slou; great grandmother of Alex, Logan, Matt, Brodie and Graycin Slou; and an aunt to many nieces and nephews.
Memorial Mass will be Saturday, May 13, 10AM at St.Clement of Rome Catholic Church, 15800 Del Webb Blvd., Sun City, AZ 85351 with Fr. Emile “Bud” Pelletier, Jr. presiding.
