Christien is survived by his parents Chris and Dawn, brother CJ, sister Caitlynn, paternal great grandmother Dorothy, grandparents Rich and Becky Gonzales, uncles Cory (Kristina) and Casey (Corrie), and aunt Carrie; Maternal great grandparents Dave and Dodie Crockett, grandparents Robin and Richard McAtee, aunts Jenny, and Vicky.
He is also survived by great aunts and uncles, many cousins and his faithful guard dog Snoball.
He is predeceased by his maternal grandfather Michael Raney and several great grandparents.
Christien was born in Tempe, AZ and lived in Surprise, Ahwatukee, Casa Grande, Gilbert, and Flagstaff. He grew up playing baseball and had a love for all sports and competition. His favorite positions were pitcher and catcher. His 12-year-old little league team won the league championship. He had big aspirations to be a professional baseball player for the AZ Diamondbacks. He was a great bowler winning in several leagues too. Academically, he was also an excellent student. His 8th grade year he was presented awards for academic excellence in math, science, music, and choir. He attended an acting and modeling school where he also excelled in learning the art of acting.
Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit, Star Wars, Avengers, Cars, Toy Story, and Supernatural were among his favorite movies and shows. He loved to recite all movie dialog with his sister. In December of 2018 he fulfilled a childhood dream of spending a week vacation with his family at Disneyland and Universal Studios to enjoy all of his favorite childhood characters and adventures. Christien thrived for adventure and believes that good always prevails. He also loved fishing with his older brother and watching his brothers you tube bass fishing videos.
Christien was blessed with an incredible smile that he always shared. He could make friends instantly. He won the hearts of everyone he came in touch with. He was never at a loss for words and entertained everyone with his banter, jokes, and quick wit. He had a great voice and enjoyed singing, playing the drums, and playing the guitar.
In his 16 years, Christien made an amazing impact on all those who knew him. Thank you for your legacy Christien. Remember – “We got this!”
"A celebration of life will be held on June 22, 2019 from 6pm till 10pm. The location is at the Rawhide Western Town and Event Center. 5700 W North Loop Road, Chandler, Arizona 85226.
