Williams, Bill of Phoenix, AZ passed away on October 9th, 2014 at the age of 81 surrounded by his wife and kids. He was born on November 3rd, 1932 in Shreveport, Louisiana, lived in South Dakota for a time; finally landing in Phoenix in the 1950's where he was part of Phoenix history. He worked on construction projects that paved the way for modern day Phoenix, served on the Arizona Highway Patrol in the 1960's positioned at the Governor's office, and at the end of his career worked as a Landscape Supervisor for the Phoenix Manor and Sunland Memorial Park. Bill liked to spend time on his house, playing with his dogs, watching old western movies, telling great stories, spending time with family, traveling to San Diego/Hawaii his favorite destinations and most of his life was an avid golfer spending a lot of time at the Bellair Golf Course, his home away from home, with his buddies. Bill is survived by his wife of 32 years Peggy Williams, sons Glen, Scott and Kirk Williams, his stepchildren Jolene Kramer, Jon Baker and Beverly Calvo along with many grandchildren. Bill also leaves behind his beloved dogs Jesse and Buddy. Bill was a man of few words but made up with it with a lot of heart. He was loving, kind, gentle giant, great husband, great father, great friend, and overall a wonderful expression of human life while he was here and will be missed by all. Bill's Celebration of Life will be held at Creative Living Fellowship, 6530 N 7th St, Phoenix, Arizona 85014, Phone: 602-906-4080 on Friday October 24th, 2014 at 11am. Flowers can be sent to Creative Living Fellowship for the Celebration of Life, or in lieu of flowers a contribution can be made to the Arizona Humane Society in Bill's name.
