Betty Ann Norman of Sun City West, Arizona died April 4, 2015. She was 83. Born January 31, 1932 in Street, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Marion McComas and Sara Famous McComas and the wife of 60 years of the late John H. Norman, who preceded her in death a month prior to Betty on March 7, 2015.
Mrs. Norman was a graduate of Jarrettsville High School and Baltimore Business College, starting work as a secretary at age 17 at First National Bank of Bel Air, Maryland and retiring in 1987 as an Officer of the bank, through several bank mergers. She married John H. Norman (Jack) in 1954 and they purchased the Aldino Airport. They enjoyed flying, traveling the USA and Canada in their planes, as well as overseas trips to Europe, Central America, Hawaii and Alaska.
They moved to Sun City West, Arizona in 1993 and enjoyed living and traveling in Arizona. Mrs. Norman was a member of the Prince of Peace Catholic Church. She volunteered at Banner Del E Webb Medical Center and Sun Cities Animal Rescue. Contributions may be directed to the Sun Valley Animal Shelter, 7150 N. 110th Ave., Glendale, AZ. 85307.
