Benjamin Frank Renda

Ben grew up in a loving, lively and loud home in Chicago, Illinois with his parents, Dominich & Mary T. Renda and brother Peter Renda. This is where he learned to speak Italian and embrace the culture.

Working for the Santa Fe Railroad for a number of years in Chicago, he obtained numerous promotions and made many friends, eventually transferring to Kansas City, Kansas.

At this period in his life, he started lifelong friendships with Gary and Marie Easthope, covering a span of 53 years. Shared interests included Real Estate, traveling, jewelry making and various crafts. Ben, his mother and the Easthope’s moved to Phoenix- Sun City West in 1998.

One of Ben’s passions was cheering for the Chicago Cubs baseball team. It was his greatest wish to see them win the pennant, which they finally did in 2016. Thank you God!

Other things enjoyed were researching and investing opportunities, making homemade pizza and pasta, shopping for bargains and protecting his casino reputation.

Ben will be remembered for his love of God and Jesus, which he demonstrated daily through his compassion. He showed his gregarious personality through kindness and generosity to everyone he met.

Surviving Ben are his nephew Jerry, cousins Mary, Rosalie & Marino and George & Troy in addition to numerous friends including Jimmy who are going to sorely miss him. God Bless.
