Bill was a native of Sulphur, who worked as a Union Electrician for over 55 years out of local #479, Beaumont, TX. He was talented, creative, hardworking, and known as a jack of all trades with an eye for perfection. He loved to fish, and in his younger days was an avid shrimper. "Paw" was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who will be greatly missed.
Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Betty Johnson; daughter, Vera Hollier and husband, Jerry; daughter, Judy Primeaux; 5 grandchildren, Jessica Thibodeaux and husband, Terrell; Leslie Olivier and husband, P.J.; Matthew Johnson; Jennifer LaBorde and husband, Michael; and Annie Primeaux and fiance', Andrew Jackson; and 12 great-grandchildren all of Sulphur.
He was preceded in death by great-grandson, Hayden Philip Johnson, great-granddaughter, Lani Morgan LaBorde, his parents, William S. Johnson, Sr. and Ruby Hildabrandt Johnson.
Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. until time of service on Monday, July 25, 2016 at Hixson-Sulphur Memorial. A Celebration of Life Service will begin at 2:30 p.m. Monday, led by Celebrant Jody Barrilleaux. Burial will follow in Mimosa Pines Cemetery in Carlyss.
