Todd was a native of Sulphur, graduated from Sulphur High School, and worked 37 years as an Operator for Hercules USA presently Basell Inc. located in Sulphur. He loved hunting, fishing, and all outdoor sports especially football. Todd was a devoted Dallas Cowboys fan. The greatest joy in his life was watching his, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren show their pigs in the livestock program. He was very involved in three generations of rodeo competition. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather was known as “Big Daddy” to all the kids, and he will be missed greatly.
Todd was the Rock of his family and God was the foundation of the Rock. He was a longtime active member of Houston River Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Anita “Sissy” Perkins; son, Tab Ercell Perkins and wife, Lora; daughter, Mandy Perkins Hamilton and husband, Pat; grandsons, Matt Perkins and wife, Lea Ann and Luke Perkins and fiance’, Megan; great grandchildren, Luke Vice, Clayton Ercell Perkins and Kaylee Rae Perkins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ercell and Aline Perkins.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, February 11th at Houston River Baptist Church. The Rev. Lonnie Gothrup will officiate. Visitation will begin Wednesday, 5-9pm at Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home and resume Thursday 8:30 am until service time at the church. Burial will be in Farquhar Cemetery.
