A Mass in Christian burial will be 11:00am Monday, July 13 at Our Lady of Lasalette Catholic Church in Sulphur. Visitation is from 2:00pm-9:00pm Sunday, with a rosary at 6:00pm and will resume Monday 8:30am-10:00am at Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home. Father Andrews will officiate. Burial will follow at Mimosa Pines Cemetery South.
Tommy was born in Church Point, Louisiana. He was a graduate of Church Point High School. Tommy worked for Conoco LGS and retired after 35 years of service. Tommy coached numerous girls’ softball teams in Moss Bluff. He was a high school football referee for 15 years, played softball for Church Point J.C.’s and Conoco. Tommy was an avid golfer and played in numerous O.O.G.A. tournaments over the years. Tommy was loved by all who knew him. He never met a stranger and was known for his sense of humor and endless love for his family and friends.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 26 years, Karen Alexander Barousse; his sister, Jeanette Gillman of Sulphur; his son, Troy Barousse of Galveston, TX; his daughters, Michelle Barousse of Sulphur and Dana Barousse Bowls and husband Chris of Clever, MO; grandson, Nate Bowls; his step-children, Monica Grantham Little and husband Raymond, grandsons, Hunter and Hayden Little; Mark Grantham and wife Lisa, granddaughters, Anna, Danielle, and Melania, all of Lake Charles. He is preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Aldus Barousse and Eleta Miller Barousse.
