Shelda Rene LaPointe

She was a native and lifelong resident of the Vinton-Edgerly area. Shelda enjoyed reading and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband of 28 years, Joey LaPointe of Vinton; her children, Christian Blake LaPointe and wife, Brittani of Orange, Texas, Faith George and fiance' Kendrick Roy of Sulphur, and John Paul Perkins of Edgerly; her father, Steve Vincent of Edgerly; her siblings, Melissa Kegley, Danny Vincent, and Mike Vincent, all of Sulphur, and Calvin Vincent of Edgerly; and six grandchildren, Alex George, Nathan George, Melba George, Christian LaPointe, Colton Roy, and Mia Roy. She is preceded in death by her mother, Melba Vincent.

Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 21, in Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home. Rev. Russell Beard will officiate. Burial will be in Big Woods Cemetery in Edgerly.
