She was born in Fairhope, Alabama on March 3, 1943, and lived her early years in Alabama. She met and married Charlie Ray Murphy in 1960 in Cameron, Louisiana. They raised four daughters together. She was a loving mother, sister, aunt, MawMaw, Nanny, and friend. Sharon was a secretary and in her later years, a homemaker. She attended McNeese State University where she stayed on the Dean's List every semester and wrote papers for half of the football team. She was an avid reader and loved the ocean, especially in Gulf Shores, Alabama. Sharon loved football and was a Alabama Roll Tide fan through and through and would love to debate her LSU tiger family anytime. She loved music, especially Elvis, Johnny Cash, Hank Williams, and Bob Seger. She always kept up with politics and would love to have healthy debates. She loved her family and friends unconditionally. She was the baby whisperer, always available to babysit, love and rock those babies. She never turned anyone away, always available to talk and give advice. She had a very magnetic personality, often striking up conversations with not only friends and family but also total strangers. Sharon will be deeply missed by all of her family and friends.
