Sara was a native of Columbus, Ohio and had been a resident of Sulphur for over 40 years. She worked for many years as a receptionist at the Sleep Disorder Center. She absolutely loved her cat Luther. Sara was an avid Ohio State Buckeye fan and enjoyed spending time with her neighbors and her family, especially her grandchildren.
Survivors include her children, Michael Craig and wife, Kimberly of Westerville, Ohio, Lee Ann Craig, and Amy Weeks and husband, Shawn, all of Sulphur; her brothers, Charles Joseph "Chuck" Houlihan, II and Harry Glenn Caldwell, II; her grandchildren, Christopher James "CJ" Farley (Laken), Sara Nicole Buller (Donavan), Shelby Renee Mereo (Joey), Amanda Marie Williams (Brennan), Mallory Renee Weeks, and Danielle Mikayla Craig; great-grandchildren, Dawson, Kodiak, Emilia, Zayden, Dax, Ollie, Dire, Chloe, Parker, Marci Mae, Finn, and Benny; her beloved cat, Luther; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Marvin Chapman.
A Celebration of Sara's Life will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, December 23, in Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home led by Hixson Celebrant, Jody Barrilleaux. The family will receive friends from 1-4 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.
