Russell James Guidry Sr.

He was a native and lifelong resident of the Sulphur/Carlyss area.

Survivors include his mother, Lee Ella Guidry; two children, Russell Guidry Jr. and Tonja Guidry, all of Sulphur; his brother, Ronnie Guidry of Lake Charles; the mother of his children, Sheila Guidry of Sulphur; three grandchildren, Samantha, Gabrielle, and Christian Lavan; special cousins, Sharon Bufford, Dale and Deannie O'Quain, and Kenny Phipps; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his father, Glady Guidry; and a grandson, Brandon Presley.

His funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, December 2, in Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home. A private interment service will be in Mimosa Pines Cemetery South in Carlyss. Visitation is from 6-8 p.m. Monday with a rosary service at 6:30 p.m. and from 9 a.m. until the time of service Tuesday in the funeral home.
