He was a native and lifelong resident of Sulphur and was a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church in Carlyss. Andrew retired from Olin Chemical Company after 35 years of service. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, working in his yard and gardening.
Survivors include his wife of 29 years, Leona Vaussine Peveto of Carlyss; three children, Gary Peveto and wife, Vickie, Gerald Peveto, and Kathy George and husband, Gary; and their mother, Betty Peveto, all of Sulphur; one brother, A.D. Peveto of Carthage, Texas; nine grandchildren, Neil Peveto, Jaime Lee and husband, Jared, Kristy Como and husband, Doug, Brent Peveto, Dennis Peveto, Derek Peveto, Aaron George, Phil George, and Jill Foreman and husband, Micah; and seven great-grandchildren, Molly Peveto, Geoffrey Como, Colton and Kyle Peveto, Cole Peveto, Sydnei George, and Bennett Foreman. He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Annie Peveto; and a brother, Otha Peveto.
His funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, August 3, in St. Theresa Catholic Church. The Rev. Thomas Vellappallil will officiate. Burial will be in Mimosa Pines Cemetery South in Carlyss under the direction of Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation is from 3-9 p.m. today with a rosary service at _ p.m. and from 8:30 a.m. Tuesday in the funeral home.
