Ray graduated from Sulphur HS in 1963. After graduation he went to Sowela and became a certified welder.
Ray had many hats. In the 70’s Ray worked for the Sulphur Fire Dept., and later the Sulphur Police Dept. where he earned the rank of Lieutenant. During that time he started arm wrestling and made his way to the Nationals in Petaluma, Ca., placing 2nd. He was also involved in Karate, where he recieved many trophies. Ray got back in to welding working off shore which led to his disability.
Ray met Cecilia in 1980 and later married on one of their many trips to Cecilia's home in Washington State. They also enjoyed traveling in their motor home but that came to an end as Ray's disability became worse.
Ray is preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Naomi LeDoux and his brother, Lee LeDoux.
Ray leaves behind his wife, Cecilia LeDoux; his children, Shannon LeDoux, Rachelle LeDoux, Shane LeDoux (Lisa), and Shawn LeDoux; grandchildren, Noah, Gabriel, Alana and Fynlee; brother, Melvin (Betty) LeDoux and numerous nieces and nephews.
His funeral will be at 2 P.M on Sunday, October 27 in Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home with visitation from 11 until time of service. Rev. Alan Upton will officiate.
