Phillip Ray Allen, age 74, of Sulphur, Louisiana passed away on Tuesday, December 29, 2020 in his home. Phillip was born in Compton, California on November 13, 1946 eventually moving to Sulphur and he attended Maplewood Schools, but graduated from Opelousas High School.
Phillip proudly served in the U.S. Air Force and retired as a Spotter Pilot from Omega Protein in Cameron after many years. Phillip also worked as a private pilot and instructor while owning his own businesses.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Billie Jean Allen, and several aunts and uncles.
Those left behind to his memory are his loving wife, Leslie Lee Allen; son, Philip Paul Allen and wife, Satla; son, Stephen Louis Allen and wife, Julie; stepson, Steven Todd Blackburn and wife, Marissa; grandchildren, Jacob Grant Allen, Baylor Blackburn, and Ryley Blackburn; sister, Karen Allen Allison; and a host of other family members.
Graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 4, 2021 in Mimosa Pines Cemetery. Celebrant, Jody Barrilleaux will lead services.
