She has resided in Sulphur since 1949 and was a member of First Baptist Church of Sulphur and a past member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Patsy was an administrative assistant for PPG and retired from WR Grace in 2001. She was a gifted oil painting artist and enjoyed sewing. She loved spending time with her family, and enjoyed her daily phone call from her son.
Survivors include her husband of 65 years, Richard W. Mitchell; son, Richard Marvin Mitchell of Arlington, Texas; grandsons, Todd Mitchell and wife Stormy of Conroe, Texas and Richard J. Mitchell of Missouri; great-grandson, Silas Mitchell of Conroe; and brother, Rev. Daniel R. Perego of Ragley.
She was preceded in death by her great-grandson, Gideon Mitchell; sister, Mildred Perego; and brothers, Dr. Kenneth Lee Perego, Victor Gordon Perego, Bruce Perego and Max Perego.
Funeral services will be held at 2p.m. Friday, March 28 in First Baptist Church of Sulphur. Dr. David Holder will officiate. Burial will follow in Mimosa Pines Cemetery South. Visitation will be held from 4 - 9 p.m. Thursday in Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home and resume at Noon Friday in the church.
