

He was a lifetime resident of Sulphur. He was in the Local 79 Boilermakers Union, who worked in the local industry for most of his career. Neal loved hunting, fishing, and being outdoors. Later in life he worked in the refrigeration/air conditioning field. He never met a stranger, and was very involved with his family. Whenever he saw someone in need he would help them in any way he could.
Survivors include his son, Arthur Lee Lowery of Sulphur; three brothers, Anthony Lowery and wife, Natalie of Sulphur; Daniel Lowery of Lake Charles; and Glenn Lowery and wife, Denise of Sulphur; two sisters, Christina Allen and husband, Mark of Lake Charles; and Edith Riedel of Broussard, La.; and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Arthur Lee Lowery, his mother, Mae Dell DesOrmeaux Lowery, a brother, Alan Lowery.
Funeral services will be held at 10a.m. Thursday at Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Farquhar Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Words of comfort may be left for the family at www.hixsonfuneralhomes.com
