Mary Dale Thibodeaux, 80, of Sulphur, passed away on Sunday, September 15, 2024. Mary was born on March 22, 1944 in Holmwood, LA. She enjoyed cajun music and dancing, going to the casinos and playing cards or games, sewing and quilting. She had a strong faith and loved her church. Most of all she loved spending time with family, friends and all her "kids" who affectionately called her Aunt Dale, T-taunt, and Nanny.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Edwin and Agnes Louviere; daughter, Angela Thibodeaux Stark; grandson, Jeffery Logan Stark; and sisters, Betty Cormier and Joyce Green.
Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 61 years, Ivy Thibodeaux of Sulphur; sisters, Brenda Martin of Edgerly and Jeanile Duplechin of Sulphur; brothers, Roland Louviere and wife, Sue of Pine Island, Robert Louviere and wife, Pat of Sulphur, and Ronnie Louviere and wife, Vera of Sulphur; along with numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family members.
Funeral Services will be held at 2 pm on Friday, September 20, 2024 at Our Lady of LaSalette Church in Sulphur. Father John Welsh will officiate. Burial will follow at Mimosa Pines Cemetery - South in Carlyss. Visitation will be on Friday from 10 am until time of service at Hixson Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home.
