

Bert was a native of Church Point and moved to the Sulphur in 1951. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters and enjoyed crocheting.
Survivors include her four children, Cynthia Holliday and husband Richard of Missouri City, Texas, Murphy Guidry and wife Nell of Moss Bluff, E.L. Guidry, Jr. of Youngsville, and James "Jimmy" Guidry and wife Patty of Sulphur; one sister, Rose Ann Henry and husband, Harry of Dequincy; nine grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, E.L. Guidry, Sr. and a sister, Norcille Anderson.
Her funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday, December 5, in Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church of Sulphur. The Rev. Edward Brunnert, M.S. will officiate. Burial will be in Mimosa Pines Cemetery South in Carlyss under the direction of Hixson- Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation will be Sunday, 5 - 9 p.m., and resume at 8:30 a.m. Monday in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial donations be made to your favorite charity or church.
