Mable Fontenot Pease

Mable was a native of Holly Beach area. She attended St. Teresa Catholic Church in Carlyss. Along with her husband, she owned and operated Tommy’s Cabins in Holly Beach for over 40 years. In her spare time she enjoyed sewing, reading, and caring for her vegetable garden. Mable was especially talented at growing flowers, and was known for her beautiful yard. She was loved by all who knew her and will be missed greatly.

Those left behind to cherish her memories are a son, Floyd Reed and wife, Karen of Fairmont, GA; a daughter, Carolyn McNabb of Carlyss; six grandchildren, Robyn Fontenot of Moss Bluff, Samantha Serice and husband, Todd of Carlyss, Bobbie Stone and husband, Shawn of Gilmer, TX, Roy Reed of Moss Bluff, Scott Reed and wife, Tammy of Jasper, GA, and Tina Marie Farris and husband, Rodney of DeQuincy; numerous great-grandchildren; and numerous great-great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Pease, parents, Artheon and Elda Manuel Fontenot, brother, Roy Fontenot, and a son-in-law, Donald E. McNabb.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, October 5, 2017 at Hixson-Sulphur Memorial. Reverend Luke Krzanowski, M.S. will officiate. Burial will follow in Prien Memorial Park Cemetery in Lake Charles. Visitation will be held from 5-9 p.m. Wednesday with a Rosary at 7 p.m. and will resume Thursday from 9 a.m. until the time of service all at the funeral home.
