He was a native and lifelong resident of Choupique. Kenward was a jack of all trades and a master of none. He enjoyed riding horses and welding.
Survivors include his fiance', Scotty Hudson of Sulphur; his children, Dustin Earl Johnson of Sulphur, Janie Joe Wargo of Chinquapin, North Carolina, and Jared Tower of Sulphur; his sister, Vern Johnson of Sulphur; and his grandchildren, Caleb Wargo, Josh Wargo, Waylon Michael Tower, Augustus Lee Tower, Wyatt James Tower, and Isla Camile Tower. He is preceded in death by his parents, Joe Johnson, Jr. and Dorothy Lee Marcantel Johnson; and a brother, Kenneth Carl Johnson.
A Celebration of Kenward's Life will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, February 10, at 529 N. Lebanon Street, Sulphur, LA 70663. Cremation arrangements were entrusted to Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home. Words of comfort may be shared with the family at www.hixsonfuneralhomes.com.
