She was born in Longview, Texas and had been a lifelong resident of Sulphur. Kelly was a member of Sulphur First Baptist Church where she served many years as the church secretary and had previously taught Sunday School. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed reading and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband of 38 years, Billy Sherwood of Sulphur; her children, Laura Majors and husband, Jessie of Carlyss, Misty Morlino and husband, Greg of Leland, Mississippi, and Chasity Sheppeard and husband, James of Greenville, Mississippi; her sisters, Sharon Leger and husband, Darren, and Leigh Tutt, all of Sulphur; and five grandchildren, Konnor Majors, Annsleigh Majors, Reece Morlino, Jase Morlino, and Cooper Sheppeard.
Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 13, in Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home. The Rev. Donald Dukes will officiate. Burial will be in Mimosa Pines Cemetery South in Carlyss.
