Joseph Curtis Richard

Curtis was a native of Sulphur and attended St Theresa Catholic Church in Carlyss. He served his country in Korea with the US Air Force and was a member of the American Legion. Joseph loved horses and spending time with his kids and grandkids. He was retired from Firestone.

Survivors include his loving wife of 64 years Lillian Richard; children, Rogenia Suydam of Sulphur, Kerry Richard of Baltimore, Maryland, Deborah Richard and her companion Bryan of Sulphur, Paul Richard and his wife Vicky of Sulphur, and Denise Lyons and her husband Allen of Sulphur; brothers, Ernie Richard and his companion Marie, and Harry Richard and his wife Sara; sister Madge Hessifer and her husband Hess; grandchildren, Lionel Peschier, Brett Richard, Brandy Davis, Brooke Divita, Justin Richard, Aaron McAllen, Rebecca Cates, Scotty Richard, Melissa McDaniel, and Justin Lyons; and 27 great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents Alduce and Rose Richard; brother Terry Richard; and sisters Ethlyn Abshire and Mildred Perry.

His Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 20, in St Theresa Catholic Church. The Rev. Joe Aquino will officiate. Burial will be in Mimosa Pines Cemetery under the direction of Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 5-9 p.m. Tuesday with a rosary at 7 p.m. and from 8 a.m. Wednesday until time of service.
