Jordan was a native and lifelong resident of Moss Bluff. He attended Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church in Sulphur. He was employed as a rigger for over 10 years and greatly enjoyed his work. He enjoyed spending hours in the boat with his son, Jordan Wade, Jr. He loved various outdoor activities like mud riding and boating. Some of his most memorable times were spent with his family as they visited him when he worked out of state. Jordan had a wonderful personality and made friends everywhere he went. He was a caring and compassionate husband, father, son, and friend.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Cheyenne Dimmitt Wade of Moss Bluff; his children, Jordan William Jr. "J.W.", Kaigen, and Breeah; his parents, Rick and Terry Wade of Moss Bluff; his siblings, Jonathan Wade (Courtney) of Reeves, James Wade (Sherman) of Orange, Texas, Denise Crubaugh (Josh) of Greenville, South Carolina, and Robert McTague (Deborah) of Trussville, Alabama; father and mother-in-law, Michael and Jodi Fontenot; sister-in-law, Jeannette Fontenot (Deil); brothers-in-law, McMichael Fontenot (Holly) and Dakota Dimmitt, all of Lake Charles; three nieces; and one nephew.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, August 24, in Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church. The Very Rev. Edward J. Richard, M.S., V.F. will officiate. Burial will be in New Ritchie Cemetery in Moss Bluff under the direction of Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation will be held in the funeral home from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday with a rosary service at 6 p.m. and will resume from 9 a.m. Thursday in the funeral home.
