Jerry "J.J." Dickerson

Jerry "J.J." Dickerson, 75, of Sulphur, Louisiana passed away on Monday, February 20, 2023. He was born to his late parents, Eddis and Roberta Dickerson on November 9, 1947 in Westlake, Louisiana. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and smoking.

He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Betty Dickerson; two sons, Jeremy Dickerson and wife Kristie Whisenhunt and Brandon Dickerson and wife Kimberly, both of Carlyss, Louisiana; siblings, Gary Dickerson and Peggy Shattuck, both of Westlake, Louisiana; five grandchildren, Kayla Dickerson, Isaac Dickerson, Daniel Dickerson, Noah Dickerson, and Kaitlyn Johnson; along with two great grandchildren, Charlie Dickerson and Wrinzlee Browning.

Jerry is preceded in death by his parents; along with numerous siblings.

A Celebration of Jerry's life will be held at Hixson-Sulphur Memorial on Thursday, February 23, 2023 at 11:00 am, with Hixson Celebrant Jody Barrilleaux. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Thursday, beginning at 9:00 am until the time of the service. Burial will follow at Mimosa Pines South.
