

She was a native of Lake Arthur and had been a longtime resident of Sulphur. Janet loved to travel, playing pokeno, spending time with friends and family and making tamales to sell to cover her traveling. She had purchased a 30 foot sailboat and took courses to learn to sail.
Survivors include her children, Lisa Doucet and husband Dale of Lake Charles, and Ricky Guidry and wife Sheila of Carlyss; two siblings, Terry Vincent and wife Jean and Joyce Richards, all of Sulphur; 15 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Guidry; two sons, Forrest Guidry and Tony Guidry; her father, Arista Guidry; her mother and step-father, Eulalee and John Vincent; and three siblings, Harvey Guidry, Gilbert Guidry and Raymond Vincent.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 21, in Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home. Chaplain Alex Giovanni will officiate. The family will receive friends from 8:30 a.m. until the time of the memorial service.
