Henry Lee Oliver, 89, of Sulphur, passed away on Monday, March 24, 2025. He was born to his late parents, Floyd and Loudie Martin Oliver on April 18, 1935 in Welsh, Louisiana. He enjoyed hunting at his 160 acre farm, where he had a fish pond and loved to feed the deer. Henry loved to get on his tractor and help with church work, and would help with Hurricane remediation. He was truly a jack of all trades. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family, who he loved very much.
He is survived by his loving wife of nearly 71 years, Lane Oliver; son, Danny Oliver (Fonda) and daughter, Kim Ross (Kent), both of Sulphur, Louisiana; five grandchildren, Julie Oliver, Stacey McCown, Courtney Oertel, Jennifer Ellender, and Samantha Dailey; nine great grandchildren, Katelyn Richard, Brant Richard, Tyler Judice, Lauren Richard, Kade Ellender, Kasen McCown, Kyndal Ellender, Henry Oertel, and Coehn Dailey; along with a great-great grandson, Hudson Richard.
Henry is preceded in death by his parents; along with his sister, Diane Oliver Daigle.
A Celebration of Henry's life will be held at Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, at 10:00 am, with Bro. Jeremy Blocker officiating. Visitation will be at Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 25, 2025, from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Visitation will resume at the funeral home on Wednesday, from 8:30 am until the time of the service. Burial will follow at Mimosa Pines South Cemetery in Carlyss.
