Havely F. Fontenot, 80, died at 8:15 p.m. Wednesday, February 2, 2011, in his home.
Havely was a native of Ville Platte, and lived in Sulphur for 56 years. He was General Foreman for Sline Painting for many years. He was a US Army Veteran and was a past Post Commander for the VFW Post 8107.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years Eloise "Blondie" Fontenot; sons James H. "Jim" Fontenot and David Scott Fontenot and his companion Adam Brown; granddaughter Ginger Renae Fontenot and her companion Corey Wing and his daughter Ryleigh; grandson Guy Kamholz and his wife Angela; great granddaughters Kynleigh Paige Wing and Kylee Kamholz; great grandsons Jacob and Ritchie Kamholz; and brother Rodney "Slim" Fontenot. .
His funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday February 8, in Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home. The Rev. Gerry Boulanger will officiate. Burial will be in Mimosa Pines Cemetery South in Carlyss. Visitation will be from 1-9 p.m. Monday with a rosary at 6 pm.
