SULPHUR — Gwendolyn Fay Cole, 64, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2014, in a local hospital.
She was a lifelong resident of Sulphur, and retired from Cameron Communications after 38 years of service. She was a member of the Sulphur TOPS Chapter and had attained her goal of KOPS. Gwen enjoyed crafting, especially quilting and various needlework arts. She loved to share her crafting knowledge with others and believed in passing down this knowledge to the next generation. “Aunt Gwen” adored her many cousins and mentored many of her younger cousins.
She is survived by many special cousins and numerous friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Joyce Cole.
Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 1, in Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be at 2 p.m. in Smyrna Cole Cemetery in Sugartown.
