Glenda Fontenot, 66, died at 4:40 a.m. Sunday, August 5, 2012, in the Leesville Hospital.
Glenda was a Sulphur native and lived in Florien since 1997. She was a member of Houston River Baptist Church. She collected frogs. Glenda was an avid animal lover.
Survivors include her loving husband of 42 years, Wesley Fontenot; brother, Glenn Smith and his wife Belinda, of Sulphur; and sister, Faye Hoover and her husband Al, of Sulphur.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Herman and Melva Smith.
Her funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, August 7, in Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home. The Rev. Lonnie Gothrup will officiate. Burial will be in Big Woods Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-9 p.m. Monday and from 8-10 a.m. Tuesday, all in the funeral home.
