George "G.V." Keith, 91, died at 12:34 p.m. Monday, August 16, 2010, in a local hospital.
G.V. was a native of Hope, Arkansas, formerly of Crowley, and lived in Sulphur for the last 46 years. He attended Olivet Baptist Church. He was a Navy veteran of WWII.
Survivors include his son Dennis R. Keith and his wife Donna of Sulphur; Brother Sterling O. Keith of Arkansas; 2 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his wife Lelia McCurry Keith; brother Phillip Keith and sister Virginia Holmes.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in Mimosa Pines Cemetery South in Carlyss under the direction of Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home. The Rev. Don Walker will officiate. Visitation will be from 5-9 p.m. Wednesday and from 8 a.m. until Noon Thursday at the funeral home.
