She was a native of Westlake and had been a resident of Sulphur for the last 7 years, moving from Toledo Bend. Evana worked for the Southwest Daily News until her retirement in March of 2013. She enjoyed shopping, flowers and gardening, and spending time with her family.
Survivors include her husband of 51 years, Ralph Crosby, Sr. of Sulphur; her mother, Pauline Deville of Sulphur; her children, Ralph Crosby, Jr. and wife, Joan of Kosciusko, Mississippi, Jeanne Hollyfield of Sulphur, Tammy Crosby Stineff of Lake Charles, and Mary Crosby of Sulphur; eight grandchildren, Brandi Crosby, Sean Crosby and wife, Amanda, Hannah Crosby, Cody Stineff, Haleigh Granger and husband, Andy, Kelly Stineff, Kortney Stineff, and Dakota Martin; and four great-grandchildren, Clay Crosby, Aria Crosby, Alyana Granger, and Aubrey Stineff.
Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, August 6, in Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home. The Rev. Phil Cochran will officiate.
