Euna was a native of Kilbourne, La., moving to West Monroe in 1951 where she and her husband raised their family. She relocated to Sulphur in 1994. She was a longtime member of Houston River Baptist Church in Sulphur.
Survivors include her two sons, Larry Derrick and wife, Linda of Sulphur, and Ledell Derrick and wife, Dianne of New Iberia; a daughter-in-law, Linda Derrick of Moss Bluff; a sister, Lois McGrew and husband, Joe of West Monroe; sister-in-law, Ida Mae Cockerham of Bossier City; eight grandchildren, four step-grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, and a host of great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Derrick, a son, Calvin Derrick, her parents, Jake and Linnie Cockerham, a sister, Oma and two brothers, Delton and Horrace.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, February 11, 2016 at Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home with Rev. Lonnie Gothrup and Rev. Wayne McEntire officiating. Burial will be 1 p.m. Friday in Roselawn Cemetery in Calhoun, La. Visitation will be 1-2 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
