Ernest Wayne Alford, 68, of Sulphur, Louisiana passed away on Thursday, November 24, 2022 at West Calcasieu Cameron Hospital. He was born to his late parents, Clarence and Willie Mae Alford on September 15, 1954 in Monroe, Louisiana. He enjoyed fishing, playing pool, tending to his yard, watching football, and riding horses. He was a prankster and there was never a dull moment.
He is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Christine David Alford; siblings, Tim Alford (Susy) of Hackberry, Louisiana, Teresa Guidry (Kurt) of Lafayette, Louisiana; sister-in-law, Joy David of Sulphur, Louisiana; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Wayne is preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Charles Michael Alford, Linda Dalgleish, and Kaye Desormeaux; along with his niece, Nicki Pierce.
A Celebration of Wayne's life will be held at Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home in Sulphur, Louisiana on Monday, November 28, 2022, at 1:00 pm, with Father Timothy Goodly officiating. Visitation will be at Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home on Monday, beginning at 11:00 am until the time of service. Burial will follow at Mimosa Pines North.
