She was a native of the Abbeville-Kaplan area and had been a resident of Edgerly for over 50 years. Dot was a member of Antioch Baptist Church in Edgerly. She retired after many years of service as Cafeteria Manager for Sulphur High School. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include her children, Heath Vincent and wife, Tina of Sulphur, Shannon Vincent Duplant and husband, Chad of Vinton, and Heather Vincent Breen and husband, Mike of Vinton; her step-children, Trent Vincent and wife, Sandra of Pineville, Trevis Vincent of Monroe, and Theresa Vincent of DeQuincy; her siblings, Charles Touchet of Florida and Jeri Faulk of Abbeville; fourteen grandchildren; and sixteen great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, James "Butch" Vincent; her siblings, Neva Benoit, Rita Keller, Mary DeBarge, Russell Touchet, Roland Touchet, and Beverly Keller.
A Celebration of Dot's Life will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, December 30, in Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home led by Jody Barrilleaux, Celebrant. Burial will be in Big Woods Cemetery in Edgerly. Pallbearers will be Randall Vincent, Bo Chesson, Logan Breen, Mike Breen, Lil' Rodney Broussard, and Chad Duplant. Visitation is from 4-9 p.m. Tuesday and from 9 a.m. until the time of service Wednesday in the funeral home. The family would like to give special thanks to Michelle Jernigan and Cotina Holland, as well as Marina Goff and Christus Hospice for their excellent comfort and care for Dot.
