Dorothy Jane Lawton

She was a native of Chataignier and had been a resident of Carlyss-Sulphur area for over 60 years. Dorothy enjoyed bird watching, traveling, cooking, and spending time with her family.

Survivors include her son, Jack E. Lawton, Jr. and wife, Holly Bugg Lawton; her grandchildren, Leslie Fay Edwards, Candace Scroggs, Jacob Lawton, and Zoey Reed; and her great-grandchildren, Niko Edwards, Milo Edwards, Aidan Devall, Camille Reed, Charlotte Scroggs, Isaac Scroggs and Margo Lawton. She is preceded in death by her husband, Jack Edward Lawton, Sr.

A private graveside service will be held on Wednesday, August 1, in Mimosa Pines Cemetery South in Carlyss under the direction of Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home. Monsignor James Gaddy will officiate. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made to: Alzheimer's Association, 1850 York Road Ste D, Timonium, MD 21093.
