I remember the first day I met Dees at Summit Bible College. He had a Holy Spirit shirt on and I was thinking to myself, “ Oh boy.” But after I met Daniel I figured out quickly that he was a very sincere person who followed after God. During my first few weeks of Summit I would talk with him many times and he would give me advice and pray with me. We became pretty good friends after that and had many intimate conversations as time went on. He will be greatly missed because there will never be another unique individual like Daniel Dees. 

Daniel/aka Bubba, was his nickname from a city girl that he considered “bouuuugie” until we wrestled on an air mattress and became greater friends. 
Daniel, you were the sweetest soul I’ve ever met, with an instant magnet saying let’s be friends. You lived showing kindness, were always honest, and your charisma was always valued. 
I miss sharing life testimonies, walking around the lake, playing volleyball, and our random phone calls. I genuinely wish for one last bear hug, one last laugh, and one last walk.
To Dees family, know that he talked about you always, and I pray sincerely for peace and comfort. 

I’m so sorry for your loss. I’m praying for peace and comfort over his family and friends  Take comfort in the fact that he accepted Jesus and will see you again, though it seems like everything would be better if he were here with us, he is definitely in a better place.

Daniel Tyler Dees was one of the most genuine people that I’ve ever had the privilege of meeting! For that reason, he was one of my closest friends while at Summit; and much more than a friend… a very faithful brother — in Christ.

For about two years, we did what good brothers do! We trusted each other with the horrors of our past lives, confessed our sins to one another, wrestled with God in prayer about our struggles, testified of our victories in Jesus, and discussed our future aspirations as God’s kingdom generals in this generation.

What made Daniel special, was how his spirit often accelerated way past his body’s limits. He wasn’t your ordinary Honda Civic; but a jet-engine-powered muscle car. Now, perhaps he didn’t know how to go from 0 to 100 smoothly; but that’s only because 100 was his starting speed when he awoke to meet God’s renewed mercies in the morning.

He was quick to do everything; including in sharing his unadulterated testimony — and the power therein — with others, without partiality. I remember the first evening that I met Dees: in about 30 minutes of having shook his hand, I knew the story of his difficult life, and the beauty of God’s undeniable, and miraculous workings in it.

All who knew Daniel’s story had good reason to accuse God of being a respecter of persons… but only until they came to grasp the reality that God favoured him, to favour us all.

Through Daniel, God had intended to bless the world, by blessing those who had the same privilege and honour as myself, of knowing him personally, and the Lord Jesus who dwelt within him. I tell you, the more you knew him, the more favoured by God you knew you were.

Everything that he did, he did as passionately as he could: whether that was sleeping, eating, drinking his joe, crying, laughing (or expressing his many emotions), praying, preaching, writing bars, and loving those around him with his undivided attention.

Dan the man!!! I remember the very first day we met it was a connection, we could talk about anything and everything, there was mutual trust right of the bat! i remember you used to call me at any time of night just to talk, pray and get through the struggles. I wish I can call you again, just to tell you your going to be fine. I know now you are more than fine. I can’t wait to see that smile again buddy. Love you forever. 

To all of Daniels family and friends, I want you to know that Daniels faith in Jesus was so precious, his change was so evident it was amazing to witness! I hope you can look at his life and encounter Jesus just as he did. I’m truly sorry for this early departure of Your son, your friend and  your brother. But know most of all, Daniel is okay.

Daniel left a forever footprint in our hearts. His genuine love for the Lord shone from his whole being. I know he has been safely gathered home to Jesus. That is why we at Summit International School of Ministry - Daniel’s Bible School in Pennsylvania  want to establish a scholarship in his memory. 
The work God did in Daniel’s heart was strong enough to love and accept him through every high and low of his life. 
We will always remember Daniel with love and miss him continually. We pray Gods comfort upon his grieving family and friends.

I love you with all my heart and can't  see how we are going to go on without you.  You are a beautiful young man with every good hope for your future.  Your graduation was such a huge event and I was very fortunate to be there.  One of my favorite memories of you is when I was spending the night with you you wanted a story.  I was surprised when you wanted to read one to me!!!  You helped me when I came down with the cats and shopping, and Mildred.  You were always with me.   Rest in peace.  We  will all see you soon. i am honored to be your grandmother.

No matter how much pain you were in, you always made sure to light up the room. Such a good soul taken too soon. 💔 
You were so so loved 

Daniel, brother. Words cannot describe how unbelievably proud I am to call you one of the greatest friends a friend could ever have. I can hear your laugh constantly in my head, I can close my eyes and hear “brother brother brother” the countless nights walking around the neighborhood, late night Taco Bell walks knowing dang we’ll Cins gonna be pissed if she wakes up lol.. you brought light and happiness to every person you were around, and never once complained about any hardships you were going through just wanted to be present and make the most of what we were doing.  Daniel was called different Nick names over the years, Chris (family guy), puddin (pud) for short, dees, and most importantly brother! To Dillon, Dustin, Lindsey, mr chris and mrs Allison, I love you all your son meant the world to me and my family, and he always will. We Love you Buddy, say hey to my pops up there when you see him, until we dap it up again!

Rest in the arms of the Lord! You are precious in His sight.

His smile was sunshine and could light up a room with just that, but his heart was so big and kind that it went further than lighting a room. He challenged and encouraged others to keep going, to keep moving forward. Daniel was funny to be around in the classroom at Summit, to laugh and joke with, but also a friend that would pray for you and encourage you. He is already so truly missed. To his dear family, our hearts break for you and with you, I’m so sorry that there is loss in this world and you have had to experience it firsthand. To all his many many friends, we mourn together, Daniel loved you and his life was changed because of you. 

One thing we believe is Daniel loved and walked after Jesus with all his heart and is with Him now, so this we look forward to. Praying for peace and comfort and the undeniable understanding of Gods love for each of you 🫶🏻🤍

Daniel had a very kind heart and a great potential to love.  His love of God was very real.  May his soul rest peacefully in the arms of Jesus.  Such a young life to have left this world.  May the family be comforted by his peace.
