He had been a resident of Sulphur for the last 40 years, and worked for MI Swaco in the oilfield before retiring. He enjoyed all sports, especially LSU football. He especially loved the LSU/Alabama rivalry that prevailed in his household every football season. Charlie was quick-witted, and always had a story to tell that would bring a laugh and smile to everyone. Charlie loved spending time with his family, and had a special connection with his great-nieces, Chloe and Kate, and newborn Ava, who called him "Cha Cha".
Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Kristi Suarez Sanner; his children, Chas, Renee', and Monique; his brothers, Kirk and Dwayne Sanner; his brother-in-law, Jimmy Griffith; and four grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Janice Sanner Griffith; his father-in-law, Shannon Suarez; and his brother-in-law, Wayne Suarez.
The family would like to especially thank Steve, Diane, Casey Khoury, Kathy Smith, and Judy Melancon, for the love and support they have provided.
