SULPHUR- Carolyn Lois Peddy, 67, passed away Monday, November 18, 2013 in a local hospital.
Carolyn was a lifelong Sulphur resident and retired from Calcasieu Parish School Board after 37 years of service, the last 10 years were served as Cafeteria Manager for W.T. Henning Elementary. She enjoyed being home with the company of her beloved dog, “Toby”, and watching movies.
She is survived by her sons, Wade Allen Ellender and his companion Bernadine “Berny” McFarlain of Ragley, and Michael Wayne Ellender and his companion Belinda Kern of Missouri; two grandsons, Zach Ellender and Colten Ellender. She is preceded in death by her brothers, Jeff and Robert Moore.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Thursday, November 21 in Hixson Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home. The Rev. Lonnie Gothrup will officiate. Visitation will be held from 3 – 8 p.m. on Wednesday and resume Thursday at 8 a.m. until time of service. Interment will follow in Mimosa Pines Cemetery of Carlyss.
