Carl was a lifelong resident of Sulphur. He was a self-taught carpenter, a true craftsman who enjoyed restoring old homes. He spent many hours in the garage working on old cars. He enjoyed visiting with family and friends around the Bar-be-que pit. Some of the best memories his children have were the summers spent on the Calcasieu River. He always took his Christmas light decorating very seriously
.
Those left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Kayla Gremillion of Sulphur; son, Trent Gremillion and partner, Dustin Smith of Lake Charles; mother, Jeanette Gremillion Richard of Sulphur; one brother, Dale Gremillion and wife, Jana of Sulphur; three grandchildren, Danni, Dax, and Demi Lindsey

He was preceded in death by his father Floyd Gremillion and infant brother, Jared Gremillion. His funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 20, in Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral. The Rev. Tony Bourque will officiate. Visitation is from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday and will resume Wednesday at noon until time of service. Burial will be in Mimosa Pines Cemetery-South of Carlyss.
