Austin lived in Vinton since 1968, and was a native of Rayne. He was a very proud veteran of WWII and a member of the American Legion 208 in Vinton, member of the VFW post 9854 in Vinton, a member of the Sheet Metal Local 196 in Orange, TX, and a member of Knights of Columbus.
He is survived by one son, Andrew Joseph LeBlanc and wife, Nadine of Sulphur; 4 grandchildren, Kristin LeBlanc of Maine, Natosha Smith of Sulphur, Teara Jouett of Sulphur and Keisha LeBlanc of Moss Bluff; 4 great grandchildren, Coley Jouett of Sulphur, Ethan Gann of Sulphur, Seth Gann of Sulphur and Ava Caldera of Moss Bluff.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lorena Marie LeBlanc, and his parents, Obey and Florence LeBlanc.
His funeral will be at 10 a.m., Saturday, August 3, 2013 in St Joseph Catholic Church in Vinton. The Rev. Fernando Susil will officiate. Burial will be in Consolata Cemetery in Lake Charles under the direction of Hixson Funeral Home of Vinton.
