He was native of Westlake and had been a resident of Sulphur for the last 55 years. Adam worked in the oil field for many years and had served as a volunteer for Care Help after his retirement. He enjoyed boiling crawfish and spending time with his family.
Survivors include his sons, Jack Cain and wife, Lois, and Abe Cain and wife, Darla; his siblings, Dorothy Jean Cain Thompson of Alexandria and Ira Cain of Pineville; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Abe and Ada Cain; and siblings, Betty Lou Thompson, Lawrence Cain, and Henry Cain.
His funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 21, in Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home. The Rev. Richard Doucet will officiate. Burial will be in Farquhar Cemetery.
