Joe was a gem... an absolute gem... all around. Sadness does not even begin to describe how it feels to realize that this dear colleague of ours is not with us anymore...

I shall always be grateful for Joe's support and friendship.  He was a dear colleague of many years both at Dresser-Rand and at Siemens.  Everybody liked Joe and many of us like myself appreciated his patience when we encountered something simple for Joe but confounding to us in the IT area.   I also know from our discussions how much he cared about his family in New Orleans. He took great pains to ensure he was always masked so he could visit his family without getting anyone sick.  What a kind and caring soul he was.  I will miss him dearly. Rest in Peace till we meet again...   

I remember the first time I met Joe when he started working for Dresser-Rand and my first thought was what a genuinely nice young man and so intelligent.  My first impression of him never changed and my respect for him grew even more over the last seven years.  I’m grateful that Joe knew how much we appreciated him and that we cared about him; he touched so many of our lives.  It was an honor to work with him and I will miss my friend dearly.  My sincerest condolences to the family; wishing you all strength and comfort.

There is not much more to say that has not already been said about Joe.  Joe was a consummate employee who never hesitated with helping any of us with our IT issues.  Whether by email, Teams chat, or in person at the office, Joe always responded back in a timely manner no matter what and he always fixed whatever was broken.  Joe had a dry comical side that not many people got to see.  He was quiet and reserved and sometimes we could get a smile out of him.   Joe, you will be sorely missed not just as my colleague, but as part of my work family.  You are a shining light whose spirit will never fade.  You have affected my life in a positive way and you will never be forgotten.  To Joe’s family, Joe was a rock star to all of us.  As you mourn his loss, please take comfort that he was loved, respected and his heart was 100 times its size.  RIP Joe, we will all see you on the other side one day. 

Joe, my Joe, I am so sad to lose you, I’m so sorry, sorry for your family, sorry for your work family… you are soooo loved! As close as I feel we were, you know, I can’t find a picture of us – not one?! Can’t believe, after years of working together, no pics. Well guy, my Joe.. you were truly loved for being kind, thoughtful, respectful, helpful, funny, nerdy, (undercover wild guy😉 – our inside joke).. I really thought one day you’d show me NOLA.. anyway, My Joe, you will always be missed.. I prayed to ask my mom to be sure to say hi to you in Heaven… I told her you’re a really good guy – so no worries, you’ll be in good hands... p.s.. I also told her if she has to knock on a door, to make the knock sound really cool.. lets see if you answer swaying to the cool knock (inside joke)!


To My Joe’s family… thank you for raising a good young man. Joe was a friend to all and he was appreciated by all. We will keep you in our prayers. Hugs to each of you.


It was completely heartbreaking to hear of Joe's passing. I have known Joe since his first days with Dresser-Rand IT. Through the years, I have known him to be very gentle, kind and helpful. No matter the problem, he was always able to come up with a solution. I am very fortunate to have had the chance to know Joe. Rest in peace, you will be surely missed.

Joe was such a support for the team in Houston. Always ready to help. Our team has been deeply affected by his death, which shows how much Joe was appreciated by all of us.

News of Joes demise was very devastating and disturbing for me, the whole day i have been thinking about him. Joe was a nice human being and very likable personality. I knew Joe from few years, and he was my go-to guy for IT related queries, and he was always on toes to help. I am still in a denial that he is no more with us, he looked so lively and full of life to me this cannot be true, it is too soon to go. My deepest condolences to the family, i will be praying for him. Joe, we will miss you around us, may your soul rest in peace my brother!

Joe - Your kind and quiet manner and willingness to help will always be remembered and will be greatly missed. Your Dresser-Rand and Siemens Energy Legal colleagues were pretty helpless when it comes to IT matters (most of us anyway) but there was never a time we couldn’t count on you to support us and always with a smile. I never knew your name was Xuyen. I wish I had. You were a wonderful, genuinely nice person. Rest in peace Joe/Xuyen.



I will always remember your wonderful smile and your endless patience for your colleagues who depended on you daily.    You were truly one of the kindest people I have ever worked with.  I appreciated the time you would take to help me with even the smallest of problems (that most likely I should have been able to handle on my own)! I have worked with Joe for many years.  He was the kindest soul.  Always a smile, always helpful, and always kind.  His passing is a great loss to this world.  Joe will truly be missed.  

Still cannot believe that we speak of Joe in the past tense! Joe was my colleague at Siemens Energy.  He was THE BEST IT support expert that I have experienced in my career.  He took the time to ensure that the support he rendered was superior.  He made it personal.  He ensured that it was not just an IT interaction.  He was very personable, chatted while he  helped.  He made IT simple!  When we were in the office, Joe was  our IT angel - swinging by to ensure that things worked smoothly.  Joe alleviated any stress associated with all the system changes we have been going through.  If you pinged Joe, he would take the time to respond and help, oftentimes multitasking and helping several colleagues.  He will be missed immensely - not just because he was our IT angel but for the caring person and colleague he was.  I pray that eternal rest be granted to his soul and for strength and comfort for his family to bear this sudden loss.  God calls those He loves to him early.  

"Barney" you will be so missed! You were always the sweet, kind, shy guy in class with a quirky sense of humor. I can always recall that smirk on your face when you commented or made a joke :p
