Thomas Vadakemury Justin, 75, a long-time resident of Houston passed away on December 5, 2022. He was born to V. M. and Maria Joseph on June 22, 1947 in Kanjirapally, Kerala, India. He received a degree in Mechanical Engineering from MACE, Kothamangalam in 1970. He completed a Masters in Operations Research from Polytechnic Institute of New York in 1976 and became a licensed professional engineer. He married Mary on January 14, 1982. A brilliant engineer, he established his own company TJ Engineering and Construction in Stafford, Texas, where he designed industrial ovens, furnaces, and their controls. He has also designed and built houses and churches in the area.
Thomas is survived by his wife Mary, his daughter Lisa and her husband Tojo, his son Roby, his six sisters, Rosamma, Mary, Lucy, Valsamma, Rani, and Salomy, and his grandchildren Jeremiah and Noah.
He was predeceased by his parents V. M. and Maria Joseph and his brother Father Mathew Vadakemury, his brothers-in-laws Pappachan, Babychan, and Rajan, and his nephews George and Sojan.
Lovingly known as Thomachan among his friends, he enjoyed watching Houston sports and spending time with his family and grandsons. Despite his many accomplishments, he was very humble. He was also very generous with his time and resources. He helped many people attain a higher level of education and built houses in India for those in need.
