Stephen Patrick Thacker

Stephen Patrick Thacker passed away in Memorial Hermann Pearland alongside family on Wednesday, July 7, 2021 in Pearland, Texas at the age of 32. Stephen was born on January 24, 1989 in Tampa, Florida to Irene Thacker. He is preceded in death by his mother, Irene, brothers, Lawrence “Larry” Michael Thacker and Garrett Brown, mother-in-law, Milagros Tumaliuan, and grandmother, Pauline Slay. Stephen is survived by his husband, Gilbert, sister, Jamie Hernandez, in-laws, Michelle Blanton Thacker, Alberto Tumaliuan, Milbert Tumaliuan, and Robert Tumaliuan, nieces, Megan, Brandy, and Ayana, great-nephews, Carter, Cooper, and Oaklyn, and his three cats, Mr. Jiggers, Pete, and Mila. He attended Gardner-Webb University and University of Illinois at Chicago in pursuit of nursing. He married Gilbert Camba Tumaliuan in January 2021. He had a passion for retail and worked at several stores including Jessica McClintock, Target, Starbucks, Mattress Firm, and most recently, Kay Jewelers. Stephen loved cooking, baking, traveling, playing Pokémon, making others laugh, and posing for the social media camera. His lively effervescence, jokes, loving smile, and contagious laughs will be missed. A funeral mass is scheduled for Tuesday, July, 27, at 10am at St. Laurence Catholic Church with a reception to follow. Father Truong Son will officiate the funeral mass.
