STEPHANIE “STELLA” R. JANKOWSKI, age 101, of South Bend, Indiana, passed away Monday, February 23, 2015. She was born December 26, 1913, in Mishawaka, Indiana, to Blasins and Antonina Prygotha Macuszanak. Stella was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, who will be greatly missed by those who loved her, and by those whose lives she touched. She was a lifelong devout Catholic, who volunteered her time and energy to many different ministries. Stella loved N.D. Football, cooking, especially Polish kiffles, playing bridge, and her daily crossword puzzles. However, her first priority in life was her family.
Stella was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Edward R. Jankowski; and son-in-law, Dr. Ronald E. Hostetler. She is survived by her children, Kathleen Hostetler of Sellersburg, IN, Ed Jankowski and his wife Joan of Laguna Niguel, CA, and Jeanne Baum and her husband Michael of Sugar Land, TX; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
