Shelia was born in Detroit, Michigan on May 10, 1959 to Alice and Wesley O’Neal. She was educated in Detroit Catholic schools and attended Wayne State University where she obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice. After college, she began her career working as an office manager. She also enjoyed extensive domestic and international travel with her mother, sisters and friends. She also was a loving and dedicated caregiver for her mother during an extended illness.
In 1988, Shelia married her husband, Vincent, and they began a wonderful life together. Shelia was as a loving wife and mother to their daughters, Amber and Allison. Her family was the center of her life; she put them first and foremost ahead of anything else. After staying home to raise her family, Shelia returned to the workforce ultimately becoming a bookkeeper for Fort Bend ISD at First Colony Middle School. Shelia loved her work, her co-workers and all of her dear friends.
Shelia, the “middle sister,” was kind, supportive and the best friend anyone could ever have. She impacted the lives of everyone she met in the most positive ways. Her smile and personality always made everyone feel loved and special. She brought joy and life to everyone she encountered.
Shelia is survived by her husband, Vincent; daughters, Amber and Allison; sisters, Diane Moore (John) and Cynthia Martin; nieces and nephews, Brittany, Danielle, Isaac, Adam, Nancy, Dianne, Lori, Danielle, Staci, Michael, Blaine, Sara and Luke; extended family; and, many special friends. She will be missed by one and all.
