Rose was born to Maximo Sanchez and Gregoria Raymundo on August 23, 1935 in the Philippines and as a child witnessed the Japanese occupation of Manila. Later, she would graduate from Torres High School and went to study piano at Santa Isabel College of Music. Much later, in 1987, when she immigrated to the United States, she shunned the opportunity of employment and decided she would rather take care of her grandchildren and give them piano lessons. To this day, Karen, Rendell and Megan play piano. This is her legacy.
Rose was a member of Sugar Creek Baptist Church since 1993 when the Worship Center was still under construction. She was part of the Mixed Blessings Connect Group, Wordview and Women of Grace Bible Study Groups.
Rose is survived by her children Ray Cruz and wife Emilie of New Jersey, daughters Elizabeth and Carolina of Missouri City; siblings Avelina of Sugar Land and children Leonida, Blesilda, Leila and Wilfredo; Ligaya of Manila and husband Nicanor and children Noel and Liz; Karen, Mylene, Irene, Racielle and husband Randy, Ryan, Rendell, Raynard and wife Janet, and Megan; great grandchildren Reid, Radley and Rhea, and Maryann, the mother of Racielle, Ryan, Rendell & Raynard. Rose will be greatly missed.
